Minutes November 2, 2011 (pdf) Minutes September 16, 2011 (pdf) The Hidden Gems Wilderness Campaign is seeking to protect the wildlands of the greater White River National Forest region. The RFVHC was invited on a special horseback ride, July10th, to explore some of the proposed Hidden Gems territory. Although the weather was threatening with lots of rain the night before causing 6 of our members to opt out, 4 of us (Sandy Ives, Jim Sorensen, Shelley Burke and Al Nemoff) joined Will Roush from the Wilderness Workshop on a wonderful climb from Dinkle Lake to the wildflower meadow on the top of Hay Park. We looked at maps and learned more about the Hidden Gems campaign and how it could affect some of our possible horse trails. And the weather was perfect with no rain. So it goes in Colorado. See photos below... Any member that wants to organize and lead a trail ride for RFVHC members needs to follow this protocolPoint person you need to email your plan with all questions answered is ; Rosemary Strong rstrong@sopris,net

Remember....this is your ride...2 people should make a team so even if no one signs up you can still go on the ride and have a great time...you are in charge of ALL the "rules" If people don't like the rules then they won"t come on this ride...another may work better for them or they can organize one they would feel more comfortable with.
